VERA V. MAINZ AWARD FOR MERITORIOUS SERVICE
- Purpose. The award is an occasional one, not one given at regular intervals, for exceptional service beyond that of regular service on the HIST Executive Committee.
- Nature. The award consists of a plaque along with an honorarium or suitable gift.
- Establishment and Support.The award was established in 2026 by the Division. The name of the award recognizes the many years of service to the HIST Division by Vera V. Mainz, as Secretary/Treasurer from 1995-2026, webmaster and Associate Editor of the Bulletin for the History of Chemistry.
