During the HIST Strategic Planning 2024 sessions, Goal 2 involved member engagement and how to grow membership through increased engagement of HIST's stakeholders. One of the agreed upon ways to carry out this goal was to enhance HIST programming by developing a new webinar series open to members and a broader audience, encompassing two webinars per year. The HIST Executive Committee agreed that the speakers for this series would be drawn from the HIST speakers at the two national ACS meetings/year and would be chosen by vote of the Executive Committee. The webinar will be on a Wednesday, Noon PT, approximately a month after the national meeting.
In 2026, the Executive Committee initiated the ChemHIST Talks-Extended Edition, to bring a one hour talk and cover a topic in more detail.
